Pinching Small Bubbles off a Big Bubble
Step-by-Step Instructions
Moisten both hands well with bubble solution.
Inflate a large bubble on the palm of one hand.
With your other wet hand, gently touch the top of the big bubble.
Make quick, sharp pinching movements, as if you are “pulling” small bubbles off the surface of the big one.
The smaller the contact area, the smaller the bubbles; the larger the contact area, the bigger the bubbles.
You can also inflate the bubble with one hand positioned above the other.
After the bubble is formed, gently stroke the surface with the top hand, remove it, and then start pinching off small bubbles.
Tips
Keep your fingers slightly spread.
Use minimal wrist movement; all actions should come from the fingers.
This effect looks especially beautiful with a smoke-filled bubble.
You can finish the trick with a “clap” motion for a strong visual ending.
