- In the video, you’ll see me gently shaking my fingers and rocking the bubbles on my palms. I do this to slightly dry the bubble film.
- If the film is too thick, bubbles don’t merge well. A thinner film allows them to connect more easily.
- Before inflating the bubbles, you can blow a short stream of bubbles through the ring made by your thumb and index fingers to remove excess solution from your hands.
- Large bubbles look more impressive on stage, so practice this trick with bigger bubbles whenever possible.
- This trick can be slightly modified. Send one bubble upward into the air and keep the second bubble on your palm. Then bring the bubble on your palm underneath the floating bubble as it comes down.
There are a few possible outcomes:
- the bubbles merge into one
- the top bubble bounces off the bottom one like a tennis ball
- the top bubble pops
If the top bubble bounces off, gently rock the bubble on your palm to let it dry slightly, then try merging them again while they are in motion.
