Rope Bubble Release
- Use a rope with connected ends. The rope must absorb bubble solution well and should not contain a plastic core inside.
- Fully immerse both hands and the rope into the solution.
- Hold the rope so it forms a triangle shape between your hands.
- Make sure a bubble film forms inside the triangle.
- With smooth upward movements (from bottom to top), scoop air into the triangle.
- The bubble will form and release from the rope loop.
- The more air you collect during the upward motion, the larger the bubble will be.
- If you gather air only with the lower part of the triangle, you will create smaller bubbles.
- The rope must absorb solution well.
- It should not have a plastic core (check the cross-section of the rope).
- For a cleaner look and better bubble performance, sew the ends together with needle and thread instead of tying a knot.
- Recommended folded rope length: 25 inches (635 mm).
As an alternative, you can use a string of beads instead of a rope — this makes the trick look more elegant and theatrical in performance.
- Remove excess foam from the solution regularly — foam reduces bubble quality.
- Keep movements smooth and controlled.
- Lift from low to high in one continuous motion to create a clean bubble release.
- Larger upward scoops create larger bubbles.
- Keep the triangle evenly open so the film forms properly.
- Minimize movement of the film inside the rope — excessive shaking or strong oscillation will cause the film to pop.
